The Pearl by John Steinbeck
This novel is about the great pearl which found by Kino, the fisherman, and of his wife, Juana, and of the baby, Coyotito. Kino find for the pearl because he want to get a treatment for his only son, Coyotito who get bite by a scorpion. Coyotito was still young and the bite can cause him to die. The doctor refuses to give the treatment to Coyotito because Kino has no money to pay him. He was the only doctor at the town and so greedy. Kino had no choice. He must find a lot of pearl and sell them to get the money. Luckily, Kino found the greatest pearl in the world. For Kino, the pearl will change their live. They will have a good live and Coyotito can go to the school. But, the pearl give Kino a lot of enemy who want to be the owner of the pearl. They are willing to do anything to owned the pearl including be a murderer. Kino tried his best to protect his family and the pearl from his enemy including running far away from the town. Unfortunately, during the running time, the beloved baby got shout at his head. Coyotito died. At last, Kino realised that the pearl are not his soul or hope but it was his enemy. A big enemy to his family. Lastly, Kino and Juana through the greatest pearl in the world into the sea back.

The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux
This novel story was about Eric, known as The Phantom of the Opera. He’s not a ghost but human with terrible looking. He is extraordinarily thin and his dress-coat hangs on a skeleton frame. His eyes are so deep that you can hardly see the fixed pupils. You just see two big black holes, as in a dead man’s skull. His skin, which is stretched across his bones like a drumhead, is not white, but a nasty yellow. His nose is so little worth talking about that you can’t see it side-face, and the absence of that nose is a horrible thing to look at. All the hair he has is three or four long dark locks on his forehead and behind his ears. Even though he have a terrible looking but he was so brilliant and genius. He was the one who design that Opera House. Thus, he knows that Opera House more than anyone. He created a lot of secret passages for him to move easily. He also built a castle below the Opera House around the lake. The story begin when Eric falls in love with Christine Daae, the Opera House singer but Christine Daae was in love with Raoul, the Comte de Chagny. He taught Christine Daae to sing well and lovely. He was a good teacher. Christine Daae can sing very well and more lovely than before. Eric want Christine Daae sing the Margarita song since that day but the Opera House’s manager refuses it. At the Margarita night, Eric made a big trouble. After that night, the manager fulfil what Eric want. Christine Daae will sing the Margarita forever. On the day of Christine Daae sing the Margarita, Eric was kidnapped she. Eric want Christine to marry him and leave Raoul. Eric frighten to kill Raoul if Christine refuse. Christine agreed and kiss Eric’s ugly lips. Eric surprises. He did not though Christine will kiss he. Even his mother never kissed he. Eric realise that love was so lovely and wonderful things. At last, Eric free Christine and Raoul. Christine and Raoul were disappeared and Eric died in Opera House
